What is the professor working on next?

Audrey Truschke is writing a one-volume history of India, from Mohenjo Daro to today, to be published by Princeton University Press. She has received a NEH Public Scholars grant to support this work.

Ambitious? Yes.

Impossible? No.

Professor Truschke is an ongoing contributor to the Hindutva Harassment Field Manual, which offers educational and practical advice for targets of Hindu Right assaults. She is a founding member of the South Asia Scholar Activist Collective.

Professor Truschke conducted research on the US-based Hindu Right for two years, 2021–22, including their use of intimidation strategies, Sangh Parivar ties, and intersections with other hateful ideologies such as white supremacy.

This research project resulted in numerous public-facing publications, available here, including an overview of the Hindu Right in the US (part of the Oxford Research Encyclopedia).
